Hi, I’m angela

I use body-based practices to bring a deeper sense of presence to whatever you are passionate about. These practices can help you to feel grounded, confident and free.

I am empathic, intuitive and able to hold space for you to more consciously bring your sensing, feeling intelligences into focus. This can support your mental and physical health.

My Approach

My work is sourced in practices that include improvisation, Alexander Technique, Body-Mind Centering®, extended vocal technique, (syn)aesthetic performance, mindfulness meditation and Qigong. I have had many teachers along the way who form a lineage of practice for which I am truly grateful. Some of these I have interacted with in person others through writings that have made profound shifts in my meaning making. There are a specific few I would like to acknowledge, they are: Aileen Moreton-Robinson, Elizabeth Grosz, Bonnie Bainbridge Cohen, Josephine Machon, Arawana Hayashi, Ariella Aïsha Azoulay and Pema Chödrön.

My Qualifications

PhD (Creative Practice)
M.Ed (Tertiary Teaching)
B.Ed (Secondary Teaching)
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment

Courses & Workshops

As co-director of Live Particle, I teach embodied practice courses with my colleague Camilla Maling.

The work you will do with me will involve guided as well as self-directed moving and vocal toning. The process is awareness-based and supports you to consciously attune to your body to feel more connected. With a Bachelor & Masters in Education and a PhD in creative practice, I bring a unique set of skills to these experiential sessions. Over the past 30 years I have synthesised knowledge and skills related to adult learning, creativity, improvisation and embodiment that have yielded a comprehensive repertoire of practices that can support you to overcome your particular challenges, help you to realise your creative potential and allow space for you to develop a personal ethic for sustainable living.

Grow it

Paying attention to your moving, sounding experiences can profoundly shift your relationship to things. It can surface unexpected insights into patterns of behaviour and grow more clarity and creativity.
